Potty Excitement!!!

My next post was going to be about Christmas day, but this is so exciting that I just had to share it right away. Ethan sat on the potty for the first time tonight!!! He happily sat for about 5 minutes just talking and looking at his fun Go Diego Go potty seat he was sitting on and pulling toilet paper off the roll and saying "uh oh!" (making us think that he went pee or poo, but he didn't). Anyways, I never would have thought I'd get so excited about my child sitting on the potty! He got a treat for that one. I wasn't planning on doing any training till after we move... but hey, having him sit on the potty everyday for a handful of mini marshmallows won't hurt anything. I'm so up for bribery, it really works for my kid. I didn't want to take any embarrassing shots of him, so I had fun just getting some cute photos of his legs and piles of toilet paper on the floor. Thought I'd share with all you grammy's and papa's out there. What a historical moment in the Ethan World! We are just both so proud of him!

Oh and he went to Sunbeams for the first time on Sunday. We have been very nervous about how he'd do because the few times the nursery would try to bring him into primary (for practice) he didn't want to go. But he did great! Jordon sat with him during opening exercises and then when they went to their class, he went all by himself and I was told by the primary president and his teacher that he did great. Phew! What a relief, hope it all continues to go well. He's just growing up too fast. We just can't believe that he will be 4 this year.

On one more exciting note, we went and looked at our first house today. There will be 4 more tomorrow. We really liked the one we saw today and it just got me so excited about moving into a home and being able to think about decorating and where I want my furniture to go and OH! the excitement of having a washer/dryer in my own home!!! I can't even begin to describe how ecstatic I feel about that after all this time of having to lug the laundry across the parking lot and spend so many quarters each month... SO EXCITING!!! It's nice to say that today was a good day. That's saying a lot for me these days. Here's to looking forward to more good days.
