Happy Independence Day! For our holiday weekend we stayed home mostly. But we did venture out friday to a nearby waterfall called Mesa Falls. We really enjoyed the beauty! It was so beautiful and green and for a moment Jordon and I felt like we were home again. Ethan did well on our little outing and especially enjoyed pushing his stroller around the boardwalk.

Saturday I did bike patrol (as a medic)for the fire dept during the annual parade in town. No calls though, which is good. The most exciting thing that happened during

the parade was that my bike tire went flat towards the end (it actually wasn't my bike, just one given to me to use). Then we headed over to the park for the celebration and we sold ice cream for the department and let people climb the ariel ladder (for a fee).

The ladder was quite a hit and we are excited to use it for more community events in the future to help boost funds for our department. Jordon was a wonderful hubby and watched Ethan for most of the day while I helped with the parade and park event. He also helped sell ice cream too while Ethan crawled around the park getting into all kinds of trouble... just kidding... he just played with the wheels on bicycles

lying near by and pushed his stroller all over the place. He loves wheels! Our little family got lots of sunshine and enjoyed playing and spending the weekend together. We are just sad that the weekend is over... poor Jordon is not ready to be back in school again tomorrow. Only 3 more weeks of school until summer break! We are excited for Ethan's first birthday at the end of this month and then it's off to Washington to visit Grammy and Papa Marquis! YAY!
