Random happenings...

I'm finally posting pictures of my new dew... of course I don't think pictures do it justice. It has to be seen in person. But I LOVE it. Jordon and I are busy in our last semester of undergraduate school. I say undergraduate because Jordon has plans to go right into graduate school hopefully in the Fall. He's still working on applying, but we are hopeful that things will work out well for us. We are so excited and looking forward to graduation in April. It will be especially fun to graduate together. He's taking a full load of classes, but enjoying these classes as well since they are the core classes of mechanical engineering. I am taking microbiology and a communicable/non communicable diseases class. Both of these classes tend to coincide with eachother often. Last week I attended one class and we were talking about tapeworms and roundworms and then I go to my other class that afternoon and we discuss the exact same thing! It sure makes it a bit easier to keep up. We do ALOT of swapping with Ethan. Most days we swap him at least twice in between all of our classes. But thankfully we've been able to work our class schedules around eachother and don't have to worry much about getting a babysitter. Ahhhhhh, the joys of being parents in college! It sure makes for an adventure.

Well I didn't update our Christmas trip. We went to Utah to spend it mostly with Jordon's family. The most exciting gift was that Jordon's brother and wife are expecting their first baby! They have been trying for many years, with multiple miscarriages, and she is now almost halfway through her pregnancy. It is just so exciting that they are finally going to experience the joys and adventures of parenthood. I'm so happy for them. We spent a little time going baby shopping for little things here and there and I really enjoyed seeing my sister in-law so happy. Christmas was great, we had lots of fun with family and friends over the holidays. Ethan enjoyed his toys and he especially enjoyed all the wrappings. I was suprised at how well he did around the Christmas tree, he never got into the ornaments and did very well.

Today in church I taught relief society on Our Heavenly Family. I've been teaching relief society for 2 1/2 years now in our ward and have loved every minute of it. Prep for teaching can be stressful, but I've learned not to write alot other than a few questions. Most of the time when I ask alot of questions, the women in my ward do so well giving their thoughts aloud that they teach the lesson themselves. Today I read two books to them the Christmas Candle and Daughter of a King (both childrens books) that are my very favorites and tied great into the lesson. I hope they weren't bored with my reading these long stories and showing all the pictures! I try to be as fun as possible at moments so I keep them awake (hopefully).
Ethan went to Nursery again today and he did great! I guess Jordon took him in to nursery and he just ran in without looking back at daddy. Jordon and I sat in sunday school feeling such freedom! We of course were wondering how he was doing and constantly checking the door watching for any nursery leaders in case they were going to bring him to us. But he seemed to have such fun and was very happy and chattering away afterwards. We've switched times for chuch and now sacrament is the last meeting. We didn't quite make it all the way through and had to go home. Ethan was very squirmy and tired after having no nap at all and it was 3:30 in the afternoon. We'll have to work on our sunday schedule.

One of Ethan's toy's for Christmas was a cute little snow shovel. He loves the shovel and during one of our last big snow falls, he went outside to help daddy shovel snow. I love to see them together. They are two peas in a pod and it makes me so happy to see Jordon and Ethan loving and playing together so much. Ethan is extremely stubborn and it sure makes for an interesting time. He will throw a fit if you try to help him with anything. He has to do it himself! I've been told that Jordon was exactly the same way as a little boy. Like I said, they are two peas in a pod and I love them both so much! Their smiles and laughter together are the best medicine in the world. Well I'm off to play battleship with Jordon... hopefully I'll smoke him! We'll see...

Your hair is so cute and you look wonderful. And how exciting that you're both almost done with school! I can't wait to see where you end up for grad school - exciting and fun times!
